**SECRET DOCUMENTS REVEAL MONSANTO KNOWLEDGE
of glyphosate hazards.  New evidence reveals a cover-up of the
company’s own research that showed a bunch of sickness caused
by their product.  Wouldn’t it be great if they faced a lawsuit like
that which nailed Big Tobacco? (As one article suggests)

**HOPE SPRINGS FROM LESS CORPORATE CLIMES.
It is encouraging to learn of real actions vs. the Monsanto
& Cohorts poisoning of our food & the planet.
See the latest from Europe.

**SAVVY CONSUMER ON FLEA CONTROL  A friend
this week gave me a great “quick tip” on getting rid of fleas
with a time-tested    remedy.  Not only  “experts” have know-how.
See Resources.

**TIP PLANNING:  Enabling Busy Consumers.  We are
continuing to work on making our TIP website a one-stop,
quick and easy place to get vital info, to learn about simple
ways to reduce your exposure to chems – and use consumer
power to achieve better behavior from suppliers.  Especially
note the updating of our TIP TALKS newsletter page, where
all previous issues will be up very soon.  Also, on that and the
TIP Home Page, the  DuckDuckGo internal search engine,
provides instant access to our entire site via any keyword.

MY COMMENTS RE: NPR PROGRAM ON CLIMATE CHANGE
THREATS TO BIRDS:  "Although I accept that climate change,
spurred by human actions, is real, I think a very important factor
in the threat to birds et al is not being addressed.  Pesticides (
along with other environmental contaminants) are becoming
more and more deadly to life on this planet.  I urge you to
consider the web search results below to information about
this concern."

..

FROM NATURAL NEWS::"Estimates from the U.S. Fish and
Wildlife Service indicate that millions of birds and fish die every
year from pesticide exposure. Scientists are now discovering
that even low level exposure is disrupting the animal kingdom
and causing new diseases to develop, threatening many species
with extinction. www.naturalnews.com/027971_pesticides_bees.ht

GERMANY FOLLOWS SCOTLAND ON MOVE TO BAN GMO CROPS
August 26, 2015 Germany is moving to ban the growing of genetically
modified (GM) crops just weeks after Scotland made a similar
announcement.  According to a letter from the agriculture ministry
the German Agriculture Minister Christian  Schmidt told government
officials that he will seek to implement the European Union’s new rule
passed in March that allows member countries to “opt out” on the
growing of EU-authorized GM crops.

TELL AMAZON TO STOP SELLING ROUNDUP & OTHER
      CANCER-CAUSING GLYPHOSATE PRODUCTS IMMEDIATELY
Imagine if we could get the world’s largest online retailer, Amazon, to
stop selling glyphosate. The impact would be enormous. And what’s more,
this strategy has worked before -- after nearly 750,000 SumOfUs members
asked huge North American retailers to stop selling bee-harming
pesticides, both Lowe’s and Home Depot listened.

SIGN TO SUPPORT LOCAL FARMS, NOT FACTORY FARMS
Ever wonder why it’s so difficult to find locally produced meat?
And why it’s so expensive?  It’s because USDA regulations have stacked
the deck in favor of factory farms, not local producers. Factory farms
are destructive on every level—they pollute our waterways, produce
unhealthy meat full of antibiotics and hormones, emit massive amounts
of greenhouse gases, and cause needless suffering to animals. A bill
before Congress, the PRIME—Processing Revival & Intrastate Meat
Exemption Act, would allow farmers to sell locally produced beef, pork
and lamb within state lines, without having to first ship their animals
hundreds or thousands of miles to a dwindling number of USDA-
approved processing facilities.  The PRIME Act is good for local
farmers, and good for consumers.  Sign Today!

FROM A CAT-LOVING FRIEND – FEND OFF FLEAS NATURALLY:
Bruce R writes, The flea treatment I told you about is Diatomaceous
Earth. It's a very fine powder, it reminds me of confectioner's sugar.
It "dehydrates insects dead" & lists being effective on fleas, ticks,
ants, cockroaches, slugs, beetles, earwigs, silverfish & other crawling
insects. I bought mine at Leeway on Rt 146A in Slatersville/North
Smithfield (RI) ,a farm supply store. This brand is St Gabriel Organics,
it's composition is 85% diatomaceous earth silicon dioxide, 10% other
element oxides and 5% moisture. It is listed as Food Grade, can be
used indoors & outdoors. The package states it's effective and long
lasting when kept dry. The cost was $13 + change with tax for 4.4 lbs,
enough they say for 1800 sq ft. The trick is figuring how to dispense
it!  Some use a squeeze type ketchup/condiment dispenser. I couldn't
find one so I'm using a cheap salt shaker & spreading it with a brush.
NOTE:  It should be food quality, not the pool filtering version, which
may+ contain lead and arsenic.

Question Asked:  Is it applied to the pet or surroundings or both?
Answer:  Since it's food safe it can be used both ways.
