GOALS

 

To reduce the use of lawn chemicals in Rhode Island

To encourage consideration of creative landscaping alternatives to lawns.

 

To assist & educate people in ways to grow healthy lawns without the use of lawn chemicals.

To provide information about non-lawn options for home landscaping.

 

ORGANIZATIONAL  ENDORSEMENT

 

We support the Less Toxic Landscaping Campaign in its stated goals of reducing use of lawn chemicals and encouraging creative landscaping alternatives.   To do our part, we will:  (Check off as many as you feel able to do):

 

£   A. Provide information about our organization for the TIP Resource Guide.

£   B. Help find resource people to assist with education efforts or judging.

£   C. Disseminate informational materials about less toxic landscaping to others.

£  D.  Help publicize the campaign and contest.

£  E.  Consider providing an informational booth at the Saturday, May 1,2004 “Less Toxic Landscaping”

campaign event (At the Rochambeau Library on Hope Street in Providence, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.)
